The woman known as Mother Tongue is the only one who can speak with the forgotten demigod, the Consumer. From the safety of her chamber, in the Undercroft of Flame Tongue Temple, the Mother preaches of the gifts Consumer may bestow upon her luckiest of followers. Those compatible will have their tongues ripped out and replaced by Consumer's parasitic spawn who control them completely, while sometimes granting bizarre new blessings. The Mother happens to be so highly compatible [and host to so many parasites] her once svelte frame has now swollen fat.
